OMG! Mini-Me is finally done a took her maiden flight yesterday afternoon amidst a glorious rich blue sky ... but she wanted her own identity while still bestowing due respect to her Mama. After much careful consideration (and a well timed wise-crack from our 2009 Air Race Classic team member, Colleen Jones), the name of Mini-Me was officially and formally changed to .... The drawing for the top 10 race numbers was held this morning at LaBelle Airport at the maintenance hanger of Vernon Conly Air Service. Refershments, including some really yummy half moons, were provided by HOLLAND FARMS BAKERY. Several 99s and racers, spouses and other well wishers, aviation enthuiasts and race sponsors were on hand to witness the drawing. Sixteen teams all got their applications in to become eligible. Team Wild Mama had hoped for a low number but we were very pleased to be drawn as CLASSIC 11 for the 2008 Air Race Classic.
