Paradise Coast Chapter 99's

Sunshine Derby

November 22, 2008 at LaBelle Airport (X14)

Please join the Paradise Coast Chapter 99s for our big Chapter fund raiser: the First Annual SUNSHINE DERBY PROFICIENCY AIR RACE to be held starting at LaBelle Airport on November 22, 2008. A hamburger cook-out will follow along with the awards ceremony at the hanger of Vernon Conly Air Services.

The race will be open to all pilots - male and female - and will challenge you to know your airplane. Contestents will be scored on fuel consumption estimates and time estimates over a selected course of approximately 200-250 miles round trip. Any make and model of single or twin engine airplane will be eligible to compete so long as it can make the entire trip on one tank of fuel. Race teams MUST have a minimum of 2 people (pilot and a co-pilot/passenger who is not required to be a pilot). This is an excellent day outing for the whole family to enjoy.

Please check back periodically for rules, registration packet and times to be posted on this site.

Woman Pilots Dinner at Mimi's Restaurant - 4th Tuesday, 1730 hrs.
Our  Paradise 99's Chapter meeting will be at RSW Training Center following the Woman's Pilots Dinner on April 22th.
